Lichfield Festival

We are a proud supporter of the Lichfield Festival and act as their digital partner for websites and digital marketing. The Festival promotes the creative arts through Lichfield Literature in the Spring, an 11-day multi-arts Festival in July and an Autumnal Chamber Music Weekend, alongside a year-long Learning & Particpation programme.

Pema Tsal & The Seti Foundation

The Seti Foundation supports over 100 students in Nepal to gain an education as well as promoting the Tibetan Buddhist history at the Yamhdi Refugee camp in Nepal. Wiser Websites has taken on the responsibility to manage and maintain the charity's website. Tom Wiser, the company founder, is helping with this monastic school, as well as teaching some of the monks in Nepal core IT skills.

Nepali Earthquake Fund

In 2015 our charity of choice was the Disaster Emergency Committee Relief Fund for the Nepal Earthquake of 2015. (Registered Charity No. 1062638). Having been to Nepal on several occasions this is a matter very close to my heart and we decided immediately after the quake to begin donating.

Backpacking4Betty.org

After the initial shock of the earthquake, we realised that Wiser Websites could offer our own expertise to help charities and good causes achieve more. Backpacking 4 Betty was our first ‘pro-bono’ client.

Kara Hayslip the founder and fellow Nepali explorer approached us for some help for a non-profit she was starting called Backpacking4Betty.

"Every year, 7,900 children die in Nepal from diarrheal diseases caused by dirty water and poor sanitation. With the destruction to infrastructure caused by the 2015 earthquakes this situation is becoming worse not better.

Backpacking 4 Betty’s main focus is to bring water filters to schools while also increasing awareness and promoting healthy habits. They hold hygiene classes using material adapted from Unicef Wash Programs while distributing water filters and soap. The booklets are illustrated and translated into Nepalese."

WHO SHOULD WE HELP NEXT?

If you know of a charity or good cause that you think deserves our attention please let us know. Each year we donate 10% of our profits to charity. The big decision takes place around the new year, so if you think there is a really worth cause out there let us know.
