SSL Questions

After purchasing it, you’ll get an email to the administrator email address for your domain to confirm your certificate. Simply click the link to confirm your registration.

Research from Verisign has shown that up to 93% of visitors are put off buying if a website doesn’t have the expected ‘green bar’ (only available with our Extended SSL). If you’re serious about your business, especially if you run an e-commerce store, an Extended SSL is the way to go. If payments aren’t a central part of your business but you still request or private details, such as login information, a Simple SSL with its accompanying padlock is fine.

Contrary to popular belief, an SSL certificate is attached to your hosting package rather than your domain name. For this reason, you’ll need to host your website with us even if your domain name is registered elsewhere.

Setting up your SSL is a quick and straightforward process, but if you have any questions or aren’t sure what to do next, please get in touch.
