Google Analytics 4 is the new google replacement for Universal Analytics.
It is a new platform that can be used to analyse your site.
“Google Analytics 4 is an analytics service that enables you to measure traffic and engagement across your website and apps.”
Google Analytics
We highly recommend anyone currently using Universal Analytics to make the switch due to the fact on the 1st of July 2023 the data will stop. Google has not released when you will no longer be able to access Universal Analytics, but I can predict it won’t be long after 1st July 2023 as that is when all new data stops.
Benefits of Google Analytics 4
The benefits to having an analysis tool is to enable you to see who access you site and which bits of content/pages get the most hits.

This is an image of what Google analytics 4 looks like. It enables you to see:
- How many visits you have to your site throughout the day
- How visitors found your site
- What device your visitors were using
- How long someone was on your site for
- What country your visitor was from
And so many more other bits of data that can help you improve your site.
All the data that Google Analytics 4 produce can be used to help you pinpoint your marketing to the correct people. It allows you to see which parts of your site are thriving and which need work. This helps you focus on the areas that need work and expand those that have high demand.
