Wiser Websites launches in the USA
We are excited to announce that we have opened our first data centre in the USA!
Before we had this data centre, those in the US who visited any of the websites hosted by Wiser Websites would have had to use the free global content delivery network. This is because the origin server was in the UK. Any websites being accessed in the USA would have been delivered through one of the 7 US Content Delivery Network (CDN).
However, now that we have a data centre is the US it is an option to have your site origin from the USA server. If you are a business who has a large amount of their customers from USA, I would highly recommend using that server. Our data centre is in Dallas, Texas. This data centre in the US will work alongside the CDN to make sure that you will have the fastest possible page loads across the whole of the US. It should also boost page performance and therefore help increase the Search Engine Optimisation SEO in the region.

From now on all new hosting packages will be given the option as to whether they would like their server’s origin to be in the US data centre or one of our UK data centres.
