If you have a business blog and are using WordPress listen up. Below is a plugin that will dramatically improve your marketing and help you build a list of possible leads.
If a blog article you’ve written receives a lot of comments that means there are people interested in your business or products and services. The question is how to best use this information.
A smart content marketer will attempt to convert these users. If they are lazy they will attempt ‘spray and pray’ email marketing which may have some success but is dubious at best. However there is plenty of other things you can do with a set of email addresses. For example targeted Facebook or LinkedIn Advertising.
Assuming you have a good collection of email addresses from comments built up over time, you will not want to individually sift through them one bo one. Instead below are two plugins that can be used within a WordPress website or blog to extract email addresses.
Commenter Emails (WordPress Plugin)
By Scott Ridley
This plugin allows you to export email addresses from comments as TXT or CSV files (which can for example be later uploaded to MailChimp or Facebook Ads Manager)
It also has the following features :
- Avoids Spam Emails by only adding unique email addresses
- A ‘counter’ showing the total unique comment count
- Export from ‘approved’ comments only
- The entire list of each unique commenters’ email addresses, names, and provided website URLs
A great plugin for all digital marketers and definitely something to make use of in future.
